Dear Kavim,
Once upon a time I used to live with my dad in my house ....Not here in Brazil but in India..You have been to my house couple of times and you love my dad and call him nanu.
I take pride in the relationship you share with him...Though I feel little jealous but I feel glad that he loves you more than me probably...I have asked my dad this question many a times -- 'Paa how can you love someone else's child more than yours ?' hmmmm well to me always comes back a laugh as an answer....I know you always giggle when nanu laughs at my so called silly question... Well Somebody out there tells me that interest amount is dearer than the principal amount.
Honestly I fail to understand. I still want my dad to love me the most..yes even more than you..However your dad has always explained me or lets say tried to explain me that there are different chambers in the heart and you can love everybody at the same time.
I still dont understand this concept..I see that you are also very possessive about people you love just like your mom...Darling its not a great idea...you should love with all you have but try not to own that thing or person.
Kavim , I am well aware of the fact that you love to hear stories about my childhood. I had one of the most beautiful childhood. God blessed me with a beautiful set of parents. I have so many memories to share with you. Today I will talk about dads. I'll talk about the best dad I know--I'll talk about my dad
Our parents play such a pivotal role in our lives. It's often hard to tell them, or express our gratitude for everything that they do. Fathers are particularly special. They have shown us so much and done so much that it is often hard to find the right words to say I love you...each day of my life I want to luv him more.. I want to tell him if I exist today it's all because of him.. I want to see him gleaming with pride coz I'm his daughter... Like yesteryears I still take pride in being his princess...He is still the best person I know ... a very well read man who has all the answers to my questions....-- the wisest Nd the smartest man I've ever met.
Of all the men in the whole wide world,
Whose praises are sung out loud,
There is no man whom I respect more,
Or of whom I am more proud.
Throughout the years, you’ve worked so hard
To provide us a happy life;
You’ve been there to help and give advice,
And you did it all without strife.
Pa , I luv u the most-- ur princess
Kavim, It's because of my dad that today, I can call myself a strong and independent woman. From pushing me on a swing as a child to helping me ride a bicycle and to teaching me how to drive a car, he has always kept my happiness and independence before everything else.
Nanu was a very strict dad. Discipline came before anything else. I did not understand it that time and called him 'juju baba' but believe me I'm thankful to him for enculcating such values in me. I really feel very surprised when he gives you so much liberty. He is so cool with you!
Even when we were kids he was a very busy man. His day would start much before buddy and I would wake up. He would water the plants, sometimes he would read a book...Oh yes and at 6'o clock his official calls would start. He would travel a lot. However despite his busy schedules he would always take out time for his family.
I have always told you about the creative tiffins I would take to school. A normal bread Jam butter would look different in my tiffin box. It would sometimes be in a shape of a house, a telephone, a tree..Every small details were taken care by him.
My mom often tells me how happy he was to become a father..I was his first child and till date I'm the apple of his eyes. Mom often tells me how nanu distributed sweets in the hospital when I was born. He is very fond of me and he is my first love!
He was always there while I was growing up. Kavim can you believe there was no Google---So who answered all my questions??-- he always had answers for my queries. Even today when I am in doubt and when the roads I'm trudging seems all uphill--he has a solution ...he has an answer.
I still remember how he stood behind me, while I struggled to gain my balance while learning how to ride the bicycle. How he insisted on removing those training wheels because he felt I was big enough to ride solo. And how, when I rode perfectly without falling, he jumped up in glee and shouted "Yay!"
However it wasnt that easy..before I rode perfectly he trained me...he let me fall but was alway there to pick me up..I got several bruised knees he told me it is how we learn. I am sure it must not be easy for him --seeing your child in pain is terrible...however he did not let me feel demotivated ..he never let me feel his pain.
Thanking my dad wont be enough but I really want him to know that I am trying my best to be a good parent. Kavim I want to give you roots and wings to fly.
As kids, me and my brother were always taught the importance of family and importance of learning--learning new things. You have seen that 'board' in our house where nanu puts your paintings now.
That board was used to put new vocabulary every day. He would write five new words for us to learn each and every day. He would put articles that he wanted us to read. Oh it was such an enriching experience.
In the night we would all sit to have dinner together. That was when we were asked to make sentences from the new vocabulary. It was that time of the day when we disscused what we did throughout the day. It was indeed the best time of the day for us--when we all were together!
You know mumma loved to participate in debate competition. Nanu would always help me prepare my debates. He would give me the information and ask me to write by myself--Those were the NON GOOGLE days..MY dad was and is still my moving GOOGLE! thankyou papa...Pallu luvs u a lot!
When the time came for me to start school, he added another title to his never-ending duties. With every maths question I had and essays he proofread, he also got the job as my personal tutor. Although he was always willing to help, he showed me that I can solve problems on my own. I thank my dad for this and everything he did for me--and everything he still does!
He is the one who taught me about sports, books and life lessons in between. I guess you can say he never stopped teaching me. He is my best teacher till date!
I am you mom now but I know deep down inside that no matter how old I get, I will always be his little princess.
It took me 20 years to realize that inside that hard, strict exterior, there's a lovable man who would do anything to see me smile. And it's only after 32 years, that I realize that in him, I have a best friend. Thankyou dad for always looking out for me!
Ahh ! I must mention while we were growing up he always made it clear that he is my parent first and my friend later..I am glad he did that!
Kavim I would like you to know that I will be there for you always...the way my dad has been there for me through my thick and thin. He has picked me up when things didnt go the way I wanted. He cheered me up in times of need. He has been my pillar of strength. I'll always be his little girl and he'll always be my hero!
Whenever I had an issue that I thought would be very difficult to talk with my dad...He proved me wrong..He showed me that he was different than everyone else I knew. He was there to discuss any topic under the sun. My papa was there to support me whenever I called for him. Even now miles apart whenever I need a solution he has the answer...I can fly beacuse I belong to him!

Being a father is no easy task. A father makes a huge impact on his daughter's life. He is the first man she says “I love you” to, and the first man to really show her what love is.Thanks to him I have faith in love !
To be honest, I can't remember a time when he wasn't there for me — not only as a father, but as a best friend. As a child, he was my favorite playmate. He would give me horse -back ride--Horse back ride on papa...I have some pictures of the same. This time when we will go to India I'll show you those pictures.
He cares for me so much ..even now I'm like his little daughter..Remember my mom once told me that papa decorated the whole room with my barbies as he was missing me. Nanu still has my Barbie collection in India.
Kavim its a very special feeling to be feel loved by your parents. Their love is uncomparable...No one can care for you the way your parents can...
Last year when nanu fell sick--I was really heartbroken..I couldnt see my iron man in that situation. Thanks to you baby that you behaved so well and to your dad who took such good care of you. I could stay with my dad when I needed him the most.
There will be times in life where you will feel helpless. However you should have faith in god and move on. While I was there with him he never discussed his pain..he would only talk about us..he was worried for you--that is the kind of man he is.
You know one of the first thing he did after he got a bit better was to draw for you--He was missing you..remember that beautiful bird he drew for you !
While he was still in the hospital and we would just get a chance to see him for few minutes in a day he would feel so happy. We would thank god each and every moment because that is what my parents always taught me.
ONce while we were visiting him there was a patient infront of him who was not eating. He asked me to offer his juice to her-- that is the kind of person my dad is...so kind and giving.
Very early life he taught us that if you are giving with your right hand even your left hand should not know. To be kind is an art. I feel glad when I see that you are a very kind boy to my darling son!
Nanu and maa have always been there for everyone around them. I wish to learn this art from them !
All I wish for my parents is to see them happy ...
While nanu was in he hospital I had many sleepless nights. I'll share a poem that I wrote on the day he had his surgery. Even while going for his surgery he was not worried about himself..he was just thinking about us!
Papa I have a simple request--YOu have always lived your life for others but now please start living for yourself! You are our treasure!

Woh humara unse rishta...
jinko hai yeh dil poojta....
Woh baat baat pe daatna...
Daant ke phir phatkarna...
yaad aate hai woh lamhe....
hume rula jaate hai woh lamhe...
Phir sochte hai aur muskurate hai...
un yaadon ke sahaare...
Daudane lagte hai dimaag ke ghode, doosre hi pal,
Dhoodhne ko koi hal!
KAbhi us prabhu ki khoj mei nikal padta hai dil,
Kabhi reh jaate hai hum bas hil....
Ek divya shakti se hua saamna...
Humne kaha tum hi hume thamna....
Dhudhne chale hai koi samdhan hum,
kuinki unhone hi sikhaya hai rakho buland hausla hardam...
Pita se bahut kareeb hoti hai beti,
unki nanhi pari hoti hai beti....
Pariyoon ke desh se aayi ho jaise,
Najooon se paalte hai aise....
ho kitni bhi mushkil khud pita par,
beti rahe khush usse na ho koi dar...
Karti hai vinti yeh beti unhi se,
manti hai jinko apna rab, apna eshwar....
Andhera ghana hai , path hai vishal,
niklega suraj, kuinki humari tez hai chaal...
yahan khushiyan hai kam,
aur jyada hai gham...
humare ghar bhi deep jalega,
khushiyon ka silsila bas chalte chalega....
us rab ko dekha kabhi na humne,
maa baap ko hi eshwar maana hai humne...
humare eshwar ka swath rahe hum pe sada,
es khatir kareinge har farz hum ada....
hum bhi haseinge pehle ki tarah,
shukrana rab tera, pehle ki tarah...
shukrana shukrana shukrana.......
